It happened while conected onto my PC.

Turn off the gps, disconnect it from the pc and shut it again to see what happens

You must have the option on your PC to see hidden files and folders

If you want to send you a navcore by private.
You are going to delete all the content you have right now, and you are going to unpack what you are sending, copy all the folders and files in the internal memory.
Once copied everything, turn off the GPS, disconnect the pc, turn on gps and advance until you get the screen that says "no maps."

Then you reconnect the gps to the pc, and in this case you are going to put the first map that I send you, the 980.7898 and activate it with bbstools light

It should work if or if, and you will have a map with characteristics superior to 980.7971

If you decide someday you just have to tell me and I send the private with the navcore already cooked, but if you are comfortable with what you have, I also want you to lie and that you can go wrong

To be honest, it's the first time I do this to a GPS. This actually is not mine. A friend asked me, since I work with computers, If I could update his maps and I said: "Well, with a litle research nothing is impossible". After 2/3 hours I finnaly made it and it's working fine.

And because it's not mine Im leaving as it is. But Im thinking to buy a TomTom and then I will explore a litle bit more the features I can get on this board/forum.

Tho, this was a really great help because I couldn't find good tutorials since this is an old device.
